Google SERP Snippet Optimization Tool  would be a nice chance for it. Just enter you your website title, description and URL and you can see the mockup page of the Google search result for your web page.

Why do you need to spend time on it? There are a number of reasons for that.

First of all, it models a real mess on a search result web page created by sponsored links on the top and right side of the page, numerous bold words and other organic search results. As a result of this mess your page’s search result can sink in this verbatim and be left unnoticed.

Secondly, it gives you an opportunity to improve your search result by playing with title, web site description and key words. Try to do several searches your clients do when they are looking for your web site. Look at how title and description appear among all other information.

Pay attention to being concise with your title. Google search will display only 70 symbols from the title; all the rest will be substituted by three dots. If your client is searching for something that goes in your title after the 70^th symbol, you are at risk to be ignored. Therefore be concise in your title and tailor it to the most frequent searched words.

Be more explicit with your description. There is more room for verbiage here.  Google allows you to have 156 symbols in your description. Therefore, use it to give extended information about your website.

Tailor meta information in your website to the most important search words. Enter different key words at Google SERP Snippet Optimization Tool and see how Google highlights your information. Does your description follow search words your key clients are using? Change your description to make your site prominent.

The search page is a point when your client makes their first impression about you. Do not miss that chance, since there is no second chance to make a first impression.
